Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of serious vascular diseases. The Erectile Dysfunction Center has also confirmed this in a recent study. Professor Nicolas Diehm, MD and his colleagues found previously undiagnosed findings in computed tomographic imaging (CTA) scans. These were used to diagnose erectile dysfunction. Arteriosclerosis was found in 37.5 percent (85 out of 200) of these cases. 8.25 percent of cases involved outpouchings (aortoiliac aneurysms). In one case, a vessel occlusion was detected (embolism). Other findings included fatty liver (hepatic Steatosis), intestinal diverticulosis (intestinal sacculation) and prostate enlargement.

The study was published in Swiss Medical Weekly December 2019 and included data from 200 men who underwent CTA to assess erectile dysfunction. The men were just over 60 years 12 years old on average. Circulatory problems of the erection-related vessels could be the cause of erectile dysfunction in 90 percent of men (181 of 200). There can be many causes of impotence in men, even young men. That’s why Eroxel has a potent formula with all natural ingredients, which will help you get rid of impotence completely: Eroxel Original

Most common causes of Erectile Dysfunction are Circuatory Disorders

A stiff penis means a penis that is full of blood. It is clear that circulatory disorders are responsible for a large number of erectile dysfunctions. Nearly half of all cases are caused by vasoconstrictions (hardening the arteries) due to arteriosclerosis. Plaques can narrow the blood vessels that supply the penis, causing insufficient blood to reach the erectile tissue.

DIABETES DAMAGES BLOOD VESSELS & NERVES

Diabetes is responsible for another 30 percent of erection issues. Two main reasons are responsible for this. Long-term high blood sugar levels can cause blood vessel damage, which in turn leads to worsening of blood flow. A second problem is poorly managed diabetes, which causes a gradual loss of fine nerve fibres. The smooth muscles of the blood vessels become less active and the penis’ sensitivity decreases. This condition is known as diabetic neuropathy by doctors.

Medication can cause Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction can also be caused by medications. Psychotropic medication are especially susceptible to erectile dysfunction. Most antidepressants and neuroleptics can cause side effects such as libido loss or erection issues. This is true for some antiepileptic medications, like carbamazepine or phenytoin, as well as antiandrogens such as Androcur, finasteride, and phenytoin. Erectile function can also be affected by strong painkillers like morphine and fentanyl, as well as medications for bladder weakness or prostate enlargement. Drug-induced erectile dysfunction is responsible for approximately 15% of all cases.

ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS & ERECTION

Some antihypertensive medications, such as diuretics and beta blockers have a negative effect upon erection. Side effects on the penis or erectile tissue can vary from one drug to another. The beta-blocker bisoprolol, for example, is not suitable for erectile dysfunction. However, nebivolol has been shown to have positive effects on erectile dysfunction. The ACE inhibitor ramipril has been shown to improve erectile function. This is why it is important to choose the right drug. High blood pressure is a risk factor for erectile dysfunction. Because persistently high blood pressure damages blood vessels.

Mental Illness and Impotence

Male potency is a matter of the psyche. Sometimes, stress, quarrels and crises can manifest themselves in unwillingness or temporary impotence. This can lead to stress taking on its own life if it continues. Psychological causes are responsible for a small percentage of erectile dysfunction that requires treatment.

Behavioral Causes

Erectile dysfunction can also be caused by bad habits. The cardiovascular system is particularly affected by smoking (drugs/smoking pot), inactivity, and high-fat diets. They promote high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, and other risk factors that can lead to circulatory problems. Erectile dysfunction is also a common problem for men who drink excessive alcohol and those who are prone to it.
